We are a two-people architectural studio based in Mantua, a small but smart city in the North of Italy.
A full-service architectural and design firm, specialized in retail design - mostly for the luxury Italian fashion brands placed all over the world - and in interior design for both business and residential sectors.
Our offices are inside a carpenter workshop, with only a glass-door separation in between: "learning and designing by doing" is the first rule here.
We operate at the nexus of architecture, art, interior design and manufacture; the cross disciplinary work - a heritage from the Italian Renaissance culture - is the most recognizable character of our work.
Daniela was born in Sardinia, the last natural paradise in Italy where she breathed in the essence of natural beauty.
After classical studies, she moved to Florence where she studied and learned architectural composition with Gian Carlo Leoncilli Massi and became his assistant for a few years. Architectural drawing became her main interest, from the theoretical point of view to the practical one.
There she attended the University, where she graduated cum laude in Architecture with Professor Gabriele Morolli and post-graduated in the famous Mina Gregori’s school of Art History. There she also met Paolo; they shared important years of study and research and finally got married and co-founded their architectural firm in Mantua.
Paolo was born and lived in Mantua, where he studied at the highest level the Leon Battista Alberti architectures and his numerical method of design with Joseph Rykwert and Livio Volpi Ghirardini.
Son and grandson of a family of carpenters, he completed his studies at University of Florence with Giancarlo Leoncilli Massi and graduated cum laude with Professor Adolfo Natalini, a master of the Italian architecture of the sixties.
After graduation, Paolo deliberately chose to return to Mantua: combining his architectural culture with the craftsmanship skills, Paolo re-launched the family’s old carpentry workshop and brought to new life the know-how grown and deepened for three generations.
